Call For Aboriginal Judge On Supreme Court

The Indigenous Bar Association wants Prime Minister Stephen Harper to appoint Aboriginal judges to the Supreme Court.
IBA spokesman Paul Chartrand is from Manitoba.
He says the court is supposed to represent the whole country, yet an Aboriginal justice has never been appointed to the Supreme Court.
He says at least one should be appointed.
Chartrand notes there are nine justices on the Supreme Court.
Three are reserved for judges from Quebec.
That leaves six other positions.
