Ten Saskatchewan First Nations youth spent part of the summer learning the how-to’s of the business world.
Last month, they attended an entrepreneurship camp in Arizona.
Jennifer Campeau with the Saskatoon Tribal Council helped organize the trip.
She says the youth spent six days being inundated with information on how to write a business plan, how to start a business and the basic fundamentals of professional development.
Campeau says the camp was great because some of the youth already have ideas for businesses they would like to start one day.
Campeau says one youth would like to open up a recording studio for Aboriginal artists, another would like to set up a photography business, and some plan to go into the trades and then be their own bosses.
