New charges have been laid against a man from the Muscowpetung First Nation accused of assaulting his wife and infant son.
RCMP say the 23-year-old took off on foot following a brief court appearance in Fort Qu’Appelle this morning.
The suspect was chased down about three blocks away and faces a charge of escaping lawful custody.
The man was arrested in August after his wife reported she and their infant son were assaulted.
The accusations include two separate incidents where the child was choked and bitten on the face.
