The RCMP is looking for a suspect in what they’re calling a “blitz attack” on a teenaged girl in the La Ronge area.

According to the Mounties, the girl was walking in the east ditch of Highway 2 between a lumber yard and the Far Reserve Road at around 9:10 p.m. Friday when she was approached by a male.

Police say the male grabbed her and started to drag her off into the bushes near the Jonas Roberts Memorial Community Centre.

The girl managed to escape.

The suspect is described as being 5’10” tall, with an average build, a black hoody, blue jeans and dark-coloured shoes.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the La Ronge RCMP.
