Slate Of Candidates Confirmed For FSIN Elections

We now know who will be running in next month’s Federation of Saskatchewan Indian Nations elections.
Eight candidates are running for the Offices of the Second and Fourth Vice-Chief.
There are no imcumbents, as Fourth Vice-Chief Lyle Whitefish has indicated he will run for chief of the Big River First Nation, and former vice-chief Delbert Wapass resigned last year to become chief of the Thunderchild First Nation.
Running for Second Vice-Chief are Gary Arcand, Gordon Burns, Robert Cameron, Doreen Day-Wapass and Peter McCallum.
Meanwhile, Simon Bird, Orrin Greyeyes and Guy Lariviere are running for Fourth Vice-Chief.
The voting will take place during the next FSIN legislative assembly on October 5th and 6th.
