The provincial government and Cameco are contributing a combined $2 million for the International Centre for Northern Governance and Development at the University of Saskatchewan.

The $1 million from the province will be used to expand the Masters of Northern Goverance and Development program.

Cameco’s share will go towards graduate student internships, research support, scholarships and distance learning support.

The investment is intended to allow northern students to remain in their communities while completing their degree.
