A program aimed at helping needy find homes in Prince Albert is scrambling to stay alive.
Homes for the Homeless opened last year.
Operated in part by Metis local 269, the initiative has helped over 200 people find a stable place to live.
Program Coordinator Janice Henry says the start-up money has run out, however, and they need a new grant to keep operating.
She says there is a real need for this kind of initiative in Prince Albert.
Henry adds about 95 percent of their clients are Aboriginal.
