A Pelican Lake First Nation man is serving 14 months for his part in a case of sexual assault and forcible confinement.

Twenty-seven-year-old Larry Lee Thomas received that sentence on Friday.

Thomas was charged after two incidents in February and March at the Pelican Lake First Nation. Three youths were brought to a car wash on the reserve.

Water was poured on two of them and booster cables were attached to their genitals. A third youth managed to escape before the cables could be applied.

Court heard Thomas brought the youths to the car wash.

In June, Thomas’ co-accused, Francis Hernandez, was sentenced to a year and 212 days in jail.
