Golden Band Resources appears to have jumped through a regulatory hurdle.
The company says it has received approval to begin construction of its Mallard Tailings Management Facility.
In a release, Golden Band says formal notification was published today.
The Mallard tailings facility is located beside the Jolu gold mill in the La Ronge gold belt.
The company says the tailings facility will have sufficient capacity for three years of storage, based on a milling rate of 700 tonnes per day.
Golden Band vice-president Gary Haywood says he is pleased to have received approval and the entire process has been a challenging one for the company.
