A 20-year-old man has been sentenced to 21 months in jail for a stabbing last spring in La Loche.
Jesse Montgrand was arrested after a 15-year-old girl was found injured at a home in the community on April 1st.
The girl was taken to the local health clinic and then airlifted to Saskatoon for treatment.
Montgrand faced a total of nine charges, including attempted murder and uttering threats.
Last weekm he appeared in court and entered a guilty plea to the lesser charge of aggravated assault.
Several other charges were withdrawn.
Montgrand was given nine months credit for time served, and was also handed a 10-year firearms ban.
