A 24-year-old Moosomin First Nation man received a silver medal for bravery yesterday.
Tyler Mooswa received the medal for saving his two-year-old sister from their burning house.
The fire broke out on the morning of April 11th last year.
Tyler woke his mom and told her to take the kids and go.
When his little sister, Montana, wasn’t there, he went back to find her.
He lowered her through a window, then jumped out himself.
Tyler’s mom, Rosemarie Mooswa, is proud of her son — adding, “. . . he’s my hero, because he saved all of us”.
The house burned to the ground.
Tyler and his sister both suffered burns.
