The Saskatchewan Party candidate in Athabasca says something has to be done about the province’s voter ID requirements.

Bobby Woods says there was a lot of confusion at the polls in his riding, which resulted in potential voters being turned away.

The new measures were introduced since the Saskatchewan Party took power, and Woods says he plans to bring it up with the government.

“Oh definitely, I mean, I think it’s something that has to be looked at in terms of doing things better.  I mean that’s what our government is good at and I’m sure they’ll review that.”

Woods estimates half of his community of Buffalo Narrows was not enumerated — and many decided not to try voting because they weren’t on the voters’ list.
