A familiar moustache in Saskatchewan is about to be shaved off as part of “Movember”.
Metis Nation – Saskatchewan president Robert Doucette, who has sported facial hair for the past 30 years, says he is ready to do his part to battle prostate cancer in the province.
Doucette plans to shave off his moustache on November 30th if the MN-S can raise $1,000.
He acknowledges it’s a bit contrary to the usual practice in “Movember” of growing moustaches.
However, he points out he’s had a moustache for over three decades now — so he had to get a little creative with the fundraising attempt.
Doucette adds his biological father died of cancer, so it’s an issue that definitely hits home.
