A new health care deal has been signed between the Thunderchild First Nation and the Prairie North Health Region.
It is designed to ensure there is better information flowing between hospitals and the band’s health liaison worker.
Band councillor Arnold Wapass says that has proven very helpful, especially when patients leave the hospital and the band needs information about medication or home care needs.
He says hospitals are also getting a better understanding of the needs and customs of First Nations people.
