The man wanted for a shooting last month on the Onion Lake Cree Nation is now in custody.

RCMP say 24-year-old Matthew Lecky was arrested on the weekend in Lloydminster.

A warrant for his arrest was issued after a shooting at a home on the reserve which injured a 19-year-old man.

After the December 17th shooting, the victim was taken to hospital and the airlifted to Saskatoon with serious injuries.

He has since been released and is recovering.

The charges against Lecky include aggravated assault and using a firearm during an offence.

He is making an appearance in Lloydminster Provincial Court today.
