A trial that’s expected to last 7 weeks, has been set for a man accused of killing a young aboriginal woman from Saskatoon.

Douglas Hales was originally expected to be tried last year but he fired his lawyer prompting a long delay.

He is accused of killing Daleen Bosse, a 25 year-woman who went missing in 2004.

Her burnt body was discovered in a rural area in 2008.

Hales faces one count of first-degree murder as well as one count of offering an indignity to a human body.

His trial will take place at Court of Queen’s Bench in Saskatoon beginning on October 9th and running to November 30th.
