High-speed Internet service has been extended to four more First Nations in Saskatchewan: the Yellow Quill, Big Island Lake, Red Pheasant, and Ocean Man reserves.
In addition, 4G wireless service has been expanded to the Ahtahkakoop, Big River and Fishing Lake First Nations.
SaskTel began expanding high-speed Internet service to First Nations last year, in conjunction with a federal program.
SaskTel spokesman Andy Tate says bad weather and flooding made it tough to do that work as scheduled last year.
Tate says most of the 28 First Nations communities to receive the service will be hooked up this year.
