The impact of Prince Albert’s boil water order is being felt by those who help out the poor.

Dawn Robbins is the executive director of the West Flat Citizens Group.

She says they have been forced to continuously boil water to cook for the 90 or so people who use the neighborhood’s community centre every day.

Robbins says, on top of that, they have been buying plenty of paper plates and cups — and the cost is starting to add up.

Meantime, a city councillor in the neighborhood says many residents have also had trouble getting bottled water to their homes because of transportation difficulties.

City officials are hopeful the boil water order will be lifted by the end of the month.
