RCMP are investigating after two people died in a house fire yesterday afternoon in Pelican Narrows.
The blaze was reported shortly after 3:00 p.m., and the home was engulfed in flames when police arrived.
RCMP Cpl. Damon Maier says a 45-year-old woman was able to escape the house, but she died later of her injuries.
“There was two in the house. One remained in the residence and one was brought out and attempts were made to resuscitate her unsuccessfully.”
The body of a 57-year-old man was found inside the home today.
Police have not released the names of the victims.
Autopsies will be conducted on both bodies.
