Final details are being worked out for the Royal visit to the First Nations University of Canada in Regina later this month.

Prince Charles and his wife Camilla will visit the school on May 23rd.

FNUniv executive director of community relations Richard Missens says events will include a prayer, smudge and tour of the facility:

“I think the highlight of the tour that we’re looking at is the roundtable discussion right at the end — and it’s focused on Aboriginal youth.  And so, we’ve got some invited youths from the community, and we’ve got some of our young graduates who’ve graduated from our university and now are out in the work world.  They’ll get a chance to talk about some of their challenges and some of their experiences as students and as Aboriginal youth within Canada.”

Missens says they first learned that FNUniv was a potential stop for the Royals in January, and they have been meeting with protocol officials since then.
