Kennedy Defends MNS Senate Decision

The candidate who won the battle for secretary in this year’s Metis Nation of Saskatchewan election says Robert Doucette is way off the mark with his allegations.
Ralph Kennedy says all the candidates were treated fairly by the Metis Elections Commission and had ample time to view the ballot sheets.
He also says allegations of vote-stuffing in communities such as Maymont are far-fetched.
Kennedy says statistics that list the community as having fewer residents than actual votes received don’t take into account Metis people living in the surrounding area of these communities.
Kennedy says if the ballots had been open to scrutiny at the time of the appeals, they never would have finished the process.
