China is preparing to receive more “natural” uranium from AREVA Resources.
The Asian giant recently signed a series of deals with the uranium supplier that will see the country receiving more uranium through 2025.
AREVA spokesman Jarrett Adams says the company views the Chinese market as a key pillar in its forward growth.
Adams notes China has 15 nuclear reactors in operation, and another 26 more on the way:
“That will put additional pressure on the uranium market — and that pressure will certainly impact prices positively and be good for our company.”
Adams adds AREVA is also hiring new employees in northern Saskatchewan, as well as its Saskatoon office.
