A Pelican Lake First Nation youth charged with murder in relation to the death of another Pelican Lake man will be back in court Thursday.
Eighteen-year-old Jay Lyndon Thomas made his first court appearance in North Battleford Provincial Court this morning.
He is charged with second-degree murder as a result of a fight that broke out during a graduation party Friday night.
RCMP allege that 23-year-old Robi Davis Thomas died as a result of the fight.
Thomas’ body was discovered in a field Saturday morning.
The accused remains in custody pending his next court appearance, which will occur by video link from remand.
