Help from Victims Services has been offered to Mosquito First Nation residents in the wake of a tragic accident over the weekend.
Three people from the Mosquito reserve were killed and two injured after a car flipped into a pond near Battleford at about 3:00 a.m. Sunday.
Staff Sgt. Howard Nodwell says Victims Services are not only available to reserve residents.
Nodwell says officers who attended the scene are also being watched to make sure they are OK:
“It’s always something that we monitor shortly after and later on to ensure that we’re monitoring the well-being of those involved.”
The accident is still under investigation.
Police are awaiting autopsy reports.
