A house in north central Regina went up in flames early this morning, and it is believed it was the work of an arsonist.
The fire was reported at about 3:30 this morning and had fully engulfed the home by the time fire crews arrived.
It took them about an hour to get the fire under control.
Fortunately, there was no one home at the time.
The intensity of the fire and a gas can found on the front lawn of the home lead investigators to believe the fire was deliberately set.
Fire department spokesman Gerrard Kaye says crews could see the flames several blocks away.
The house is a total loss. What is left of it will have to be bulldozed.
