The Metis Nation – Saskatchewan is gearing up for a long-awaited election.
It has been five years since Metis citizens in the province went to the polls to choose their leaders.
Five people are challenging incumbent president Robert Doucette for the chance to lead the organization — Maureen Belanger, Ray Laliberte, Bryan Lee, Wayne McKenzie and Mavis Taylor.
According to an official with the MN-S election office, 374 people voted in advance polls last weekend.
Metis citizens will be able to cast their ballots between the hours of 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. tomorrow.
Polling stations will be open in 46 communities across the province.
In the north, communities that will have polling stations include La Ronge, Weyakwin, La Loche, Buffalo Narrows, Beauval, Ile-a-la-Crosse, Jans Bay, Green Lake, Pinehouse Lake and Meadow Lake.
