Georgina Jolibois has won another term as mayor of La Loche.
According to unofficial results from yesterday’s municipal election, Jolibois received 445 votes.
Her closest challenger, Ida Lemaigre, got 363.
The other candidates in the vote, Chester Herman and Daniel “Skip” Montrgrand, received a combined total of 250 votes.
Jolibois has been the mayor in La Loche since 2003.
The new village council consists of Justina Lemaigre, JJ Janvier, Alvin Piche, Kevin B. Janvier, Bruce Ruelling and Dean Balaneski.
