The Federation of Saskatchewan Indian Nations is confident an online gaming agreement can be worked out with the province.
The FSIN is monitoring a site that opened yesterday by a man on the Whitebear First Nation in southeast Saskatchewan.
Federation chief Perry Bellegarde says the Northern Bear Casino is not an initiative of the FSIN or the Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority — but he says online gaming is a reality and he wants to work with the province to develop a strategy for it.
The provincial government has asked the RCMP to investigate the online casino.
