Students at the nursing college in La Ronge have named their community-nursing robot.
The robot stands shoulder high and has a video-screen where a head would normally be.
It is capable of performing simple tasks like taking EKG strips under the direction of a doctor in another location.
Since last fall, the robot has acted as a teaching tool for students in the program.
The robot has officially been dubbed “RoboGale.”
It’s a combination of the words robot and the famous nurse Florence Nightingale.
The college of nursing named another robot in Ile-a-La Crosse earlier this week.
