RCMP are investigating an alleged hit-and-run involving a pedestrian.
Police say the incident occurred on Friday night.
In a news release issued today RCMP say the 18 year-old victim was trying to hitch-hike to La Ronge when he was struck at the junction-road turnoff to Montreal Lake.
Sergeant Al Pressler says paramedics quickly attended to the teen while officers began trying to find the vehicle in question.
“Members of La Ronge RCMP also assisted with doing a check stop to apprehend anything heading north into the La Ronge area and they were unable to locate a suspect vehicle,” he says.
Pressler adds it’s not clear what kind of vehicle hit the teen.
The victim was checked out by doctors in Prince Albert and released from hospital the next morning.
