A Pelican Narrows man accused of second-degree murder appeared in court today.
Thurston Jack Thomas stood silently while lawyers in Prince Albert provincial court discussed his case.
The 24-year-old man faces numerous charges in addition to the murder charge.
These include four counts of assault, two counts of assault with a weapon and theft.
On Feb. 23, a fatally injured man was taken to hospital in Flin Flon.
Medical staff were initially told that the victim, later identified as John Ballantyne, had been hurt in a snowmobile accident 30 kilometres west of Creighton.
However, police later determined this was not the case and Thomas was charged.
His case has been adjourned until Mar. 20.
