A company looking for diamonds near Deschambault Lake will hold an information meeting in the community tonight.
Stornoway Diamond Corporation has been looking for the precious stones for several months now.
They are digging in two sites – one located seven kilometres north of Deschambault and the other19 kilometres southwest of Pelican Narrows.
Company spokeswoman Nicole Westcott says they staked their claim in February of 2011 and have done some soil sampling since then.
Drilling is the next stage.
Tonight’s meeting starts at 6 p.m. at the high school in Deschambault Lake.
Westcott says they’re still nailing down the location for the meeting in Pelican Narrows.
