Saskatoon police say a body found in a river in Calgary is not that of a missing Aboriginal man from Saskatoon.
Late yesterday afternoon, the Saskatoon Police Service says it became aware that 24-year-old Joseph Pelletier’s vehicle was located in Calgary.
Shortly afterward, Calgary Police were called when a body was found in a river.
They have now confirmed the body recovered in Calgary is not that of Pelletier.
Pelletier was last seen by his girlfriend at 1:30 a.m. on Friday, May 24 in Saskatoon.
He has not been at work, and his family is concerned as it is uncharacteristic for him to go missing.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Pelletier is asked to contact Saskatoon Police.
