Saskatoon police are hoping a candlelight vigil for a missing Aboriginal woman will prompt someone to come forward with a lead that will help solve the case.

Karina Wolfe was last seen three years ago today near 20th street and Avenue H in Saskatoon.

Police spokesperson Alyson Edwards says the then-20-year-old led a high-risk lifestyle that could have put her at risk:

“She has been known to associate with some high-risk people and had some high-risk behaviour in the past that has led us to believe that her disappearance is suspicious in nature.”

Wolfe vanished without a trace. There was no contact with any family or friends, no activity on her banking cards, and no one picked up a prescription that she needed.

Family and friends of the missing woman will hold a vigil tonight on 20th Street, where Wolfe was last seen.

Edwards says leads in the case have been few and far between, but she says the case will remain open until it is solved.
