Rising waters have again caused some delays on a portion of Hwy 2.

The department of highways says water is now on the road surface about 11 kilometres north of Prince Albert.

Ministry spokesperson Joel Cherry says there is flag persons in the area and drivers are being asked to slow down.

The area recently received more rainfall and the level of water on the road has been rising.

He says it is believed a landowner in the area did some trenching and that has contributed to the flooding.

Officials continue to monitor the situation but as of Monday afternoon the section of Hwy 2 north of Prince Albert remained open.
