Government House in Regina has reached out to a group of artists in the La Ronge for a unique display that is now open to the public.

It features painting, photographs and fabric all depicting the beauty of the north.

Chad Debert, the assistant manager of Government House, says this type of show is very rare for the gallery:

“For the most part, we have been sticking to local artists. This is one of the first ones where we have gone outside our local borders and tried to incorporate more of the province.”

Debert says the work is very impressive and he encourages people to come by to take a look. The artwork will be on display until September 22.

The recommendation to bring in the work came from the director of the gallery who used to live and work in La Ronge.
