Some good news on the labour front for Saskatchewan’s Aboriginal workforce.
Off-reserve aboriginal employment was up by 4,800 jobs last month — a 12.3% increase from September 2012.
It is the eight month in a row the year-over-year numbers have been going up.
Despite this, the Aboriginal unemployment rate is 12% — three times the provincial average.
