The Prince Albert Grand Council Annual Assembly kicked off this morning with a number of items on the agenda.
This afternoon the Fond Du Lac First Nation will receive special recognition for its placement at the national firefighting championships and the Prince Albert Development Corporation directors will also be recognized.
Later this afternoon, the Bobby Bird Memorial Scholarship Awards will also be given out.
Tomorrow, PAGC will elect a new vice-chief.
The two-day assembly is taking place at the Senator Allen Bird Memorial Centre in Prince Albert.
Christopher Jobb of the Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation is seeking to unseat the current vice-chief, Brian Hardlotte, of the Lac La Ronge Indian Band.
