A ground search for a missing woman got underway this afternoon along a remote northern Saskatchewan highway.
Family and friends of 24-year-old Jodi Roberts haven’t seen her since she left her stepfather’s house in Sucker River the late evening of Friday, November 1st — and she wasn’t wearing a jacket.
Her sister, Theresa Roberts, says there have been unconfirmed reports that she has been seen in Prince Albert or that she has friends in Southend.
Theresa Roberts says today’s search is focused on the stretch of Highway 102 between Sucker River and Stanley Mission.
“We’re going on foot. We want to get this over and done with so that we don’t have to worry that she’s out on the highway somewhere . . . . . so we just got to do this as soon as possible.”
A local tracker is helping Roberts’ relatives in the search effort.
