A man from the Kawacatoose First Nation has been charged with aggravated assault after a young child was injured last year.
Punnichy RCMP received a call in February 2012 that a 10-month-old infant had been brought to Fort Qu’Appelle Hospital with a broken leg.
An investigation was started and later that year in September a second serious injury on the same infant was reported.
Police say enough evidence was gathered to lay two Criminal Code charges against one adult male from the reserve.
Last week the suspect was charged with two counts of aggravated assault and is scheduled to appear in court in Punnichy on February 25th.
