The Black Lake First Nation is celebrating the opening of a new therapeutic youth care centre today.
The group home will offer educational, spiritual and recreational services for youth.
Family counselling, holistic addiction and trauma recovery plans will also be available.
Six children between the ages of 12 to 17, who had been living in group homes in Regina and Prince Albert, moved into the home yesterday.
Executive director Yvonne Wolverine says the goal is to help the kids grow into healthy individuals.
The federal government and uranium companies Cameco and AREVA contributed funding for the project.
