The Yellow Quill First Nation has signed a new agreement that will see its members providing paramedic services at Saskatchewan oil and gas, construction and industrial work sites.

The joint venture has been entered into with Canadian Industrial Paramedics of Alberta.

Revenues from the partnership will be used to fund community programs such as the Yellow Quill Safe Home.

Yellow Quill First Nation Chief Larry Cachene says the venture will provide both specialized medical support for industry and meaningful employment for band members.

Yellow Quill Industrial Paramedics is a 51 per cent First Nations owned company.
