Saskatchewan Party MLA Darryl Hickie has announced he won’t be running again in the next provincial election.
He was first elected in the Prince Albert Carlton constituency in 2007 and then re-elected in 2011.
Hickie served as Minister of Municipal Affairs in the government cabinet until 2012 and prior to this he was also Minister of Corrections, Public Safety and Policing from 2007 to 2009.
A Sask Party news release says he will return to the Prince Albert Police Service at the end of his term.
The release also says the party will be holding 20 candidate nominations in the coming weeks.
