Five lakes and one bay in northern Saskatchewan have been renamed as part of the the GeoMemorial Naming Program.
Archibald Lake, Boyes Lake, Ionel Lake, Kalen Lake and Nuttall Lake are all named after members of the military who died in action.
Cooper Bay is named after a former member of parliament.
Each nomination was approved following a formal request presented to the Ministry of Parks, Culture and Sport.
