RCMP say there has been a homicide on a La Ronge-area reserve.
Mounties found the victim after being called to a residence of the Lac La Ronge Indian Band’s Morin’s Hill subdivision at around 10 pm Monday.
Fifty-three-year-old McIvor McKenzie was pronounced dead at the La Ronge Health Centre.
It became a homicide investigation after RCMP received the results of an autopsy conducted yesterday.
The RCMP’s Saskatoon-based Major Crimes Unit is assisting with the investigation.
There are no suspects in custody.
Anyone with any information regarding McKenzie’s death is asked to call the La Ronge RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
