An autopsy has been ordered after the weekend death of a 29-year-old woman from the Kawacatoose First Nation.

RCMP say at around 3 am Sunday, a pickup truck left a grid road on the reserve and hit an embankment.

Three women were thrown from the vehicle and two — the 44-year-old female driver from Kawacatoose and a 22-year-old passenger from Saskatoon — were taken to the Wynyard Hospital with undetermined injuries.

Police say Ramona Assoon was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators say none of the three occupants were wearing seatbelts and alcohol is considered to be a factor.
