A 51-year-old man appeared in Prince Albert provincial court Monday morning after an 11-year-old boy was struck and killed by a vehicle on Saturday night.
The boy and a group of youth were riding on bicycles on Hwy 3, near the Muskoday bridge, when the collision occurred just after 7 p.m.
The boy was transported to Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert where he later succumbed to his injuries.
None of the other youth were injured in the accident.
Gordon Morris Crain has been charged with impaired driving and dangerous driving causing death.
He is scheduled to appear in court again on Tuesday morning for a show cause hearing.
