A Muskoday First Nation man faces four new charges after an 11-year-old boy was struck and killed by a vehicle on Saturday night.
The boy was riding a bike near the Muskoday bridge on Hwy 3 when he was hit by the vehicle a little after 7 p.m.
He later succumbed to his injuries at the Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert.
Fifty-one-year-old Gordon Morris Crain faces new charges of criminal negligence causing bodily harm, criminal negligence causing death, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm and impaired operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm.
Crain appeared in Prince Albert provincial court this morning and has been remanded in custody.
He is due back in court on Aug. 6.
The investigation is ongoing.
