A Saskatoon businessman is being recognized for his achievements.
Kendal Netmaker owns and operates Neechie Gear.
He is the recipient of the 2015 Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business National Youth Entrepreneur Award.
The award is given to an up-and-coming Aboriginal entrepreneur under the age of 35.
Netmaker is only the second recipient of the award.
CCAB President JP Gladu says Netmaker is a natural fit.
“He’s got a successful business, it’s brand, it’s about Aboriginal people, it’s showcasing success,” he says.
The CCAB has also announced the induction of Melvin E. Benson of Beaver Lake Cree Nation in Alberta into the Aboriginal Business Hall of Fame.
The awards will be presented at the Seventeenth Annual Toronto Gala on Feb. 3.
