*NOTE — A previous version of this story indicated the two suspects were facing attempted murder charges. RCMP have since issued a corrected press release indicating that is not the case.
Two men suspects arrested after a break-in at a Lloydminster liquor store and subsequent police chase have been identified.
Two pickup trucks connected to the break-in on early Tuesday morning were spotted shortly after and police were able to stop one of the trucks with a spike belt.
Police say an incident occurred which lead to an officer firing his gun, but no one was hurt.
Twenty-nine-year-old Lynden Belly of Onion Lake and 20-year-old Joel Dillon of Lloydminster are currently in police custody.
They have been charged with break and enter, possession of stolen property and evading police in a motor vehicle.
Belly is facing an additional charge of dangerous driving.
Both men are due in court tomorrow.
The shooting is under investigation by the Alberta Serious Incident Response Team.
The other pickup truck, a 1993 Chevrolet, has yet to be located.
